Rotarian of the Day: Linda Scott

 

Linda moved to Vinita after graduating from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. She worked at Eastern State Hospital (Oklahoma Forensic Center) for 31 years, before retiring in 2003. Following retirement, Linda attended NEO A & M, before accepting the position of Vinita City Clerk in 2005.

 

Linda is married to Jimmy Scott. Her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sommer Faulconer, and grandson, Peyton, live in Verdigris, and her daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Luke Benedict, and granddaughter, Addison, reside in Edmond. In 2005, Linda and Jimmy, adopted their son, Rocky, who is a Border Collie – Lab mix, and much of their time is devoted to spoiling him.

 

She enjoys gardening, interior decorating, wallpapering, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Today’s speaker will be Susan Ryals. She is the Librarian for the Vinita Public Library. Susan will talking about the various programs offered by the library. This is always a good program.
