ROD and Weekly programs.

Please be sure to note your ROD date and get me an updated bio and your program particulars as early as possible. I need this at least one week in advance.

Senior Rotarians

Nakota Taylor from Vinita and Robyn Diaz from Welch are Senior Rotarians for the month of April. Be sure to make them feel welcome. This is their last day and the last of our Senior Rotarians for this year.

Mark your calendars

May 2 is the Vinita Trash Pickup and Yard Sale.

We are committed to participate in this and we need your presence. Please meet at the parking lot of the First Christian Church at 9:00 a.m. Wear your work clothes and bring gloves. This is part of Service Above Self. That is this Saturday!! Let’s have a great turnout!

Our Website

Take the time to look at VinitaRotary.org. David has done a tremendous job keeping everything current. Be sure to thank him for the great job in getting this up and running. Forgot to mention that David immediately post the Bulletin and has past Bulletin, also. Seems kind of funny how someone so “mature” is such a techno wizard, huh?

Ed Allensworth was born in Bristow, OK where he graduated from Bristow High School. He is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and the University of Oklahoma Medical School completing his residency and internship at Charity Hospital in Louisiana. Reba and Ed married in 1957 and moved to Vinita in 1963 where he began his medical practice. They have two sons, Eddy and Roy and six grandchildren. He enjoys reading, fishing, travel and hunting and serves as Medical Director at Craig General Hospital. He joined Rotary in 2004 and was sponsored by Dan Janis. Ed says that what he enjoys most about Rotary is the fellowship.

Today’s Program

Dr. Ed will talking about all the people he was exposed to here in greater Vinita who went on to become physicians. One of Ed’s most rewarding experiences have been to mentor future Docs. At the end of his presentation he will be giving advice about how to vaccinate your pigs to reduce the chance of swine flu.
