Vinita Rotary Club Rotarian of the Year Amy DeVore!    Vinita Rotarian Amy DeVore was presented the first Vinita Rotarian of the Year award by Past President Bob Green for outstanding commitment and service to the club. DeVore currently serves as Secretary. She has also served as Club President and Past President and is an active member of the board.	Wallace Williams, District 6110 Governor visits Vinita Rotary Club!   Club President Rod Couch welcomed Wallace Williams, District 6110 Governor who visited Vinita Rotary on July 21, 2010. Governor Williams discussed the focus of District 6110 in the coming year and stressed the Rotary Motto, "Service Above Self"!

Outgoing President Dr Bob Green received a plaque of appreciation for his dedicated leadership and service during 2009-2010. \      Samuel Ziara, Scientist with Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) visited Vinita Rotary on May 26, 2010!        During the weekly luncheon meeting of the Vinita Rotary Club, Samuel Ziara Scientist with Ecosystems Management discussed the ecology of Grand Lake and associated waterways.	Rotarian Bud Ronsse recognized as Paul Harris Benefactor!       Bud Ronsse, Vinita Rotary is congratulated by President Bob Green for his contribution to the Rotary Paul Harris Society. Ed was receognized as a Paul Harris Benefactor for contributing to the Rotary Foundation Permanent Fund
Juvenile Detention Center Special Education Specialists Hugh DeLozier & Alicia Lancaster       Special Education Specialists Hugh DeLozier and Alicia Lancaster of the Craig County Juvenile Detention Center located in Vinita briefed Rotarians on educational programs offered for incarcerated youth.	Vinita Rotary Donates to American Red Cross "Heroes" Program!          Michele Fraley, Director of Regional American Red Cross and Vinita Rotary Club member accepts a $300.00 check for the ARC "Heroes" Program from Bob Green, Rotary President.   --

Vinita Rotary Awards College Scholarships to Vinita Seniors Holly Bates & Abi Day!        Rotary President Bob Green congratulates Holly Bates who was awarded a $1,000 four-year renewable scholarship and Abi Day who received a one-time $1,000 scholarship.
Vinita Rotary Club & Craig General Hospital donates Copy Paper to Vinita Elementary Schools!         Assisting with Vinita School's budget shortage, the Vinita Rotary Club joined with Craig General Hospital donating 100 reams of copy paper to Will Rogers Elementary School and Hall-Halsell Elementary School.     \	Grand Gateway Economic Development Association Guest of Vinita Rotary!        Rotary President Bob Green welcomes Edward Crone, Executive Director of Grand Gateway Economic Development Association which oversees senior services, nursing homes, community development and the Pelivan Transportation Service for the following Oklahoma counties - Rogers, Ottawa, Washington, Delaware, Mayes and Craig.
Rotary Radio Night Monday April 26, 2010       Rotary Radio Night is alive and well. A huge thank you to Dee Robison and all who helped sell ads. Another big thank you to Bill Hodge for hosting the event again this year. Thanks to members OB, Jess, Gordon, Don, Eddy, Tim, Danny, The Mayor, Kelli and Dee for their DJ duties. Kelli brought some special snacks to make sure we did not suffer from hypoglycemia. All in all, Rotary Radio Night was a huge success.	SERVICE ABOVE SELF  "Community Clean-Up Day" Saturday May 1, 2010       Rotarians volunteer their time to help pick up trash and use their trucks & trailers to haul off items for residents who are unable to do so themselves. A perfect opportunity to practice the Rotary motto of SERVICE ABOVE SELF as Rotarians help others in the community!    --

Dynah presented a special program on Stem Cell Therapy for Animals. Vinita High School Championship Girl's Basketball Team "The Lady Hornets"       Coaches Scott Reed & Tony Rosebrough introduced Vinita High School Senior Girls Basketball Team to the Vinita Rotary Club during the luncheon meeting on March 24, 2010.
